Working with Addictions

In this module students are introduced to the addictive process and the variety of ways in which one can work with addictions

Module Description

Some of models outlining these methods include:  the process-oriented model; the Dutch anthroposophical model; the 12-step model used by organisations like Alcoholics Anonymous; and the current approach of the Ted Noffs Foundation. Using these theories, the addictive process is explored and implemented experientially through case studies, clinical work and examining students’ own addictive processes.
