This module introduces students to a range of theories surrounding trauma and abuse, including modern developments

Module Description

This module enables students to gain the skills to work both experientially and somatically with sufferers, including victims of sexual abuse. This unit focuses on key topics such as: the limitations of working only verbally with trauma and abuse sufferers; specific diagnoses according to the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders; and augmentations to current theories with skills and insights from a holistic approach.
