Biography - Part 1

(Parts 1 & 2 can be done independantly)

Each stage of life has its own point, its own purpose. To find it and to accept it is one of the most vital questions relating to life.
The Biography Workshop brings depth to your self-education through the finding your journey principle arising from your biography, and applying this to all aspects of your life.

In this weekend workshop you will have an opportunity to reflect on your personal journey in the light of evolution of consciousness that moves through both humanity and each one of us individually.

  • You will explore the phases of your life to date, and your personal patterns and gestures that emerge
  • You will seek to identify your unique journey principal that underlies each of the spiralling phases of your development
  • You will reflect on your journey principal and then look ahead to consider how you can actively participate in creating your own future.

We live in ‘’interesting times” as the intuitive harmony of the East meets the rational logic of the West, and our planet struggles with the burden of our excesses. We can make a conscious choice to dance to our own rhythm and navigate turbulence skillfully, or be carried by the willful currents of our times. It is the synthesis of head and heart intelligence, of inner awareness and outer skills that can support our navigation of life’s turbulence.

Biography - Part 2 - Relationships

(Parts 1 & 2 can be done independantly)

Relationships are central to our experience of life. Our health and well being is intricately tied in with others.

In this workshop you explore the essence and nature of the key relationships which shape your life. Each one has a unique purpose and gift.

By gently and safely processing the essence and nature of each one, you come to a deeper and fuller understanding of your life.

In the Biography workshop we work with the Anthroposophic understanding of human development in it's seven year cycles. This is beautifully unfolded with journaling and gentle techniques from Process Oriented Psychology. We explore our essence and gesture as a young child, teenager and adult. We come to where we are now and caste our gaze into the future. The workshop is inspired by the work of two great teachers: Rudolf Steiner and his Anthroposophy (wisdom of the human) and Arnold Mindell and associates in Process Oriented Psychology.

In preparation you may like to read “Taking Charge” by Gudrun Burkhard and “Working with the Dreaming Body” by Arnold Mindell. This is not essential.

“You either make yourself miserable or you make yourself strong. The amount of work is the same”  - Carlos Casteneda.

Someone who worked with Elizabeth Spencer on their Biography had this to say:

"I loved how unexpected the results were. I loved the mystery and magic of it. It gave me really easy access to the part of me that knows my highest good. It was very simple, non-threatening, fun, warm, supportive and creative. In a very short period of time we created a strong web of connection. It grew compassion, kindness and a deep, calm acceptance for ourselves and for each other."
