Group Work With Metavision

2010
to be run as a 3 day seminar see dates below.

Metavision  is a fluid combination of supervision, coaching and mentoring where the person, within their own context, is the focus of attention. This differs from a specific model or approaches such as mentoring, supervision or coaching where the model determines the approach. Within these three models the boundaries are becoming blurred as practitioners seek ‘integrative approaches’ but many remain fiercely protective of their own boundaries. As we move to a more holistic perception of the human condition new terminology and models are needed. Metavision is one such model.

Metavision requires skills in following and unfolding the emerging process of the  participant within their context. It works with field theory, non-locality and Process Oriented Psychology.

Metavision is a term applied by Christina Nielsen to working with people in a range of settings. Initially developed form her work with junior doctors at St Vincents' Hospital over the past 10 years, it has developed from a perception of the human being as complex, adaptable and responsive to changing environments.

This holistic paradigm recognizes that it is the person with their varied needs that a skilled practitioner can learn to respond to in supportive and growthful ways when there is a paradigm that allows for the crossing of boundaries.

This approach is particularly useful for professionals moving into new, unfamiliar or challenging settings and tasks. It is useful for individuals, small and larger groups.
