Diploma of Applied Holistic Counselling


This course is the equivelant of a 2 year full time diploma built up through intensives and distance learning modules (including online submissions). The course gives solid training in counselling and interpersonal skills, and an accompanying self-development process with a sound spiritual foundation. Advanced Diploma of Holistic Psychotherapy


The third year of study at the Institute solidifies and builds on the previous two years of learning while deepening ones training to the depth of Psychotherapy.It is in this year that clinical experience under supervision integrates the foundation learning of the first two years. The Process Oriented approach used at the Metavision Institute provides skills that enable interpersonal work to go to deep places quickly. Specialist modules support the deepening of this work.

Who are these Courses for?


The Applied Holistic Counselling and the Holistic Psychotherapy Courses
are for those who:

  • Want to expand and deepen their communication skills to enhance their current professional and personal life.
  • Wish to embark on a career in counselling and /or psychotherapy
  • Seek skills to stimulate and support transformative change and community building.
  • Seek an integrated holistic understanding of the human condition, intimacy and meaning in life.
  • Are mature age students and young people( over 25yrs) seeking to gain personal development, transformative knowledge and spiritual awareness.
  • Long for greater illumination of the huamn condition in its' wholeness
  • Are health professionals and human services providers such as doctors, lawyers, complementary medical therapists, nurses, teachers, allied health professionals, ambulance officers,  and others who are interacting with the public.

 

Course Format


The Applied Holistic Counselling Course is two years. Completion of the
first year is awarded with a Certificate, and completion of the second year
is awarded with a Diploma. At completion of the second year, students
can apply for the Holistic Psychotherapy course. The first two
years of the course involve attendance for two 6 day intensives per year
at the Institute – one in February/March and the other in June/July.
Attendance at assessment weekends in November is optional. Distance
and e-learning methods are used between intensives and include:

  •  Experiential exercises.
  •  Core reading.
  •  Written tasks.
  • Forums and discussion on our e-learning platform
  • The use of DVD's
  •  Teacher established and facilitated small group exercises with peers.
  •  Reports on exercises you have conducted in your own workplace.
  •  Ready access to course leaders via e-mail, telephone and our e-learning  platform.

The Applied Holistic Psychotherapy Course involves attendance at four
intensives in February, May, August and October/November and the
distance and e-learning methods described above.
