Q. What is the Metavision Institute?

A. The Metavision Institute is a training institute that reflects an approach to professional development which uses experiential and soulful learning methods, both in the classroom and in the virtual classroom. It was founded by Christina Nielsen, the current director. The Metavision Institute fosters group cohesiveness and support. The courses are designed to integrate expanding new fields of Psychology and Medicine and Quantum physics and the new biology with a strong emphasis on the whole - the inner and outer, the subtle and gross. The Metavision Institute recognises that inner development brings outer change.

Q. Where is the Metavision Institute?

A. The Metavision Institute is located above McGee's Cycles in Station St, close to the center of Bowral in the picturesque Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. Bowral is an hour and a half south of Sydney by car.

Q. I am interested in mind, body, spirit counseling and coaching. How do I decide which course to do?

A. Visit the home page on this website and explore the buttons for courses, short courses and workshops. If you are still unsure, call the Metavision Institute and set up an appointment to discuss your interests, your experience and what you would like to achieve. You can also attend one of the introductory talks.

Q. When do the courses run and how long are they?

Q. Who do the courses suit?

A. Metavision offers intensive courses run over two to three years, short courses run over six months and workshops that run as individual sessions or as a short series. Most people can find the kind of intensity of course they are looking for. Students are:

  • health professionals
  • human services providers such as doctors, complementary medical therapists, nurses, teachers, applied health professionals, ambulance officers, lawyers and others who are interacting with the public daily and wish to improve their interpersonal skills
  • mature age students
  • young people
  • people who wish to embark on a career in counselling and psychotherapy
  • people who want to expand and deepen their communication skills to enhance their current professional and personal life
  • people who seek skills to stimulate and support transformative change and community building
  • people who seek an integrated holistic understanding of the human condition, intimacy and meaning in life
  • those who wish to gain personal development, transformative knowledge and spiritual awareness

Q. How much is the "Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy" course?

A. The course is two years long and the cost indicated is a per year fee, please refer to the Fees and Applications page for this information. The fees can be paid in a number of ways to suit you, including 9 installments throughout the year. An administration fee of $150 applies to cover application procedures.

Q. How much is the "Counselling and communication skills" course?

A. The Counselling and communications skills is a one year course. It is not an accredited course but forms the first year of the requirements for a three year training for students with no undergraduate degree.It then forms part of the Professional Training course. Students can do only this one year as a stand alone training in basic counselling and communication skills. A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the year.  Please refer to the Fees and Applications page for more information, the general rules for this course are the same as for the Diploma of Holistic Counselling, see above.

Q. What is Metavision?

A. “Metavision” is a mix of holistic supervision, coaching and mentoring.The word means a view over above, under, around.
