Leadership and Group Facilitation

Seminar | 2 Days | Face to Face | $395

Leadership is a group project and all of us are necessary to fill it.” Arnold Mindell

This 2-day training introduces the application of holism to group dynamics. Leaders and facilitators need training in awareness to work with themselves, the group and the wider context within which they are operating.

“It’s an ability to see the emerging whole, while also being aware of the parts.” Metavision founder Christina Nielsen.

This approach is strongly influenced by the ground-breaking Deep Democracy and World Work of Arnold Mindell and associates. Applying the use of Process Mind and field theory to leadership and group facilitation, it replaces the usual focus on outer challenges, issues and group dynamics, with holism, the intelligence of the heart, and self-awareness.

The powerful concept of Metavision is applied to bring a meta-view to leadership and group dynamics in complex and diverse situations. The focus in this training is on developing perception, in order to read the field as it organises the group and the roles within it.

Christina Nielsen has used this training for over 10 years with small groups of doctors at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, and with professionals working in the psychological fields to broaden the concept of supervision. Christina has also used it in educational settings and in the development of her work at the Metavision Institute in Bowral, NSW.

This approach to leadership and group facilitation can be applied to any setting and group. It can be a means of inquiry as well as a way to instigate change. It supports a sustainable professional practice, reduces conflict and burn out, and helps build community.
